Google Wave-Surfs up?

I stopped what I was doing and watched this video about Google Wave. Not sure what to say, its just insanely good and as an open source project I reckon this will explode (then again I have been known to be seriously wrong).  At least among the internet based community.

But in terms of business, Im wondering how they will recieve it as just another tool to learn rather than understanding the advantages of the application.

Then again maybe we are giving Google to much, we see what happens when Gmail goes down, what would happen if Google wave went down…never mind all the other information they will have access to.

    I watched this video and I feel that You are absolutely right. I agree with you. Let’s wait and watch and we will talk about it when gmail goes down.

    Only today Justin??? Wow, that’s not like you!! It’s months old! :)

    But yeah it’s definitely impressive. I too am sceptical as to how quickly people will start using it in the business sense. Their plans to basically replace “email” is very ambitious, since email works fine – there’s no need to change it. It’s like looking at a wheel and seeing how more round it can be made.

    None-the-less, I’m looking forward to its release and developing some apps for it!

      Excuses time. Yep, its month old, but I just couldn’t bring myself to watch it ages ago and have to wait all this time for the release, so I guess I should have said , refresher time”. At least this is my excuse and I’m sticking to it :)

      Did you get an invite btw? Am interested in feedback on it but most are having problems because they are “isolated” and have very few contacts to test against.

        No I didn’t and I’m disgusted – I recommended a client should sign up for it and he got one the first time round!! Totally disgusted! :)

        If I get one, I’ll give you feedback!
