Yes it is me, definitely me, its Justin Parks

I originally hail from the North of Ireland where I grew up under a pretty unique situation known as “the troubles”. Without dwelling on this and all things considered I really have nothing else to complain about from my childhood days…which makes a change as I tend to make up for it nowadays with the rather unsavoury ability to moan like a steam train hanging of the edge of a cliff as I work hard on becoming a grumpy old man.

School days passed and I ended up in the University of Ulster Belfast studying Design BA honors and as soon as this finished I was invited to Marbella with a good friend, Bruce Irwin to spend the summer working and partying basically.

As things developed however I made the decision to stay…not sure why to be honest, it just felt right.

I then achieved employment with a local and growing company called SANE Internet and this was in 2001. It was also my first introduction to the serious nature of the internet as a commercial tool. It was also here that the techniques of Search Engine Optimisation were made apparent to me and the power that this discipline allowed. Working primarily on the design side of websites I learned a lot about how a website could be formatted and coded correctly to make it appear in google listings and generate traffic and leads and at this time the primary industry benefiting from this was real estate.

After some 10 or 11 months there I decided that it was time to leave and I went freelance for a little time, doing some websites for companies after being recommend by associates and friends and generally “floating” along.

It was during this period I met Craig Edmonds at 123 Marbella Web Design Spain S.L. (to give it its official name) and thats when the real story began.

Craig was running a efficient business doing websites for individuals and companies and had built up quite a neat portfolio of clients. After some time getting to know each other and kicking around ideas about the internet, web business, design, clients and all the other things associated with our daily bread and butter we eventually agreed that it seemed sensible to move forward with developing 123 Marbella and expanding on the web services offered.

The markets where buoyant the timing was perfect and the internet was the place to be, and there we where.

Our client list expanded from around 50 to almost 150 in a year and has grown and grown ever since to its current level of over 700 clients, a quick look at our freely provided web design testimonials will serve to back up the high quality of work that we do!

The beauty of the business was the huge variety of different projects and concepts we dealt with on a daily basis, each and every client was different and each and every project needed something new and innovative to make it succeed and still the main thing that mattered to the clients was Search Engine Optimisation and where they would appear in Google… talk about not wanting much!

That has lead us to today where we maintain our current clients, take on new business, deal with the projects we have created ourselves and generally try not to go bald or insane in the process… then again maybe that would help us move forward in SEO as sometimes I think being just a little bit insane certainly helps.

I began to focus in on the new media and social media stuff that’s appeared since 2008 or so (in Europe at least) and its been of serious interest to me to see how the internet has developed and is using this new technology to expand the means and methods of communicating, if you haven’t guessed yet I’m talking about social media and all the fun stuff that’s associated with it, you might notice that I spend a lot of time talking about WordPress, blogging, twitter, linkedin, facebook and a whole range of other systems and applications in the web 2.0 sphere.

I’m offering a range of services on education, implementation, and application for people and their business on social media now, combed with my experience over the last 8 years in dealing with business, client requirements and on line development and marketing.
